Tuesday, September 9, 2025
8:00 PM - 9:00 PM (EDT)
Category: Webinar

Inflammatory breast conditions span a broad spectrum from common benign entities such as lactational mastitis and abscesses to uncommon aggressive malignancies of inflammatory breast cancer. For radiologists, the challenge lies in distinguishing between look-alike conditions that can present with overlapping clinical and imaging features.

In this engaging, real-life case-driven webinar, Dr. Afsaneh Alikhassi, Dr. Cedric W. Pluguez-Turull, and Dr. Katharine Lampen-Sachar, breast radiologists, will discuss typical and atypical imaging appearances of benign inflammatory breast disease, malignant inflammatory breast cancer, key differentiating clues to avoid diagnostic pitfalls and unnecessary delay and reporting strategies that enhance communication and guide management. This webinar will include live Q&A from the audience.

Learning Objectives:
1. Explore the radiological imaging findings associated with common inflammatory breast diseases, emphasizing the role of the radiologist in the management of these conditions.
2. Analyze the characteristic and variable radiologic appearances of granulomatous mastitis and differentiate it from other inflammatory breast pathologies using multimodality imaging.
3. Recognize the characteristic radiological presentations of inflammatory breast cancer and understand the critical role of imaging in facilitating early diagnosis, staging, and treatment planning.
