Professional Bio
Kesha currently serves as Senior Director of Membership, Marketing and Communications for the Society of Breast Imaging (SBI). Her portfolio also includes Diversity, Equity and Inclusion initiatives.
Kesha has served in leadership roles with nonprofit organizations where she collaborated with associations, regulatory agencies and congressional staff on programs with national significance. She has used her ability to develop strategic campaigns with authentic, relevant and concise messaging to help shape policy and effect change in maternal and child health care, women’s equality, access to quality preventative care, patient care advocacy and socio-economic program delivery. As a contractor, both state and federal government agencies benefitted from Kesha’s bold creativity and visionary mindset. In addition, Kesha has provided pro bono strategic consultation to nonprofits with cause-related campaigns through Public Relations Society of America.
Kesha also lends her expertise in volunteer and professional service with the American Society of Association Executives (ASAE) Communication Section Council, Healthcare Associations Advisory Counsel, Gold Circle Awards Committee, and as a Gold Circle Awards Judge. She is also a member of the Public Relations Society of America, National Press Club, and the Smithsonian National Museum of African-American (NMAAHC) History and Culture Ambassador Program as well as a Charter Member of NMAAHC.
Kesha is a proud alumna of Tuskegee University, where she majored in English. She also holds certificates from Purdue University in Strategic Communications, Diversity Equity and Inclusion and Inclusive and Ethical Leadership from University of South Florida, Muma College of Business.
Kesha is a Certified Nonprofit Professional (CNP). The CNP is the only nationally recognized credential in nonprofit management. She is also a Certified Association Executive, the highest professional credential in the association industry.
