Yara Feliciano

I am originally from Puerto Rico. I obtained my medical degree and Radiology residency training at the University of Puerto Rico Medical Science Campus in San Juan. In 2016, I completed my fellowship in Breast and Body Imaging at Memorial-Sloan Kettering Cancer Center in New York. After completing the fellowship training, I joined the University of Miami as an Assistant Professor.

As a faculty member at the University of Miami, I have participated in local, regional and national committees. I participated in the University of Miami Miller School of Medicine Admissions Committee and the University of Miami Miller School of Medicine Dean’s Diversity and Inclusion Committee. I currently participate as a member of the American Board of Radiology DR Core Breast Committee, the Society of Breast Imaging (SBI) Inclusion Diversity Equity Alliance (IDEA) Committee, University of Miami Radiology Diversity Inclusion & Wellness Program University of Miami Medical Group, Leadership Council Representative University of Miami Medical Group, and Radiology Society of Puerto Rico Mentorship Program. I am the chief of Breast MRI Services University of Miami, Sylvester Comprehensive Cancer Center, and the University of Miami Breast Imaging Fellowship Director.

I have presented in local, regional, national and international forums including: VIII Curso Internacional de Radiología Oncológica, Lima, Perú (2021); Culturally Competent Care for Hispanic/Latino Patients Society of Breast Imaging webinar (2021); Radiological Society of Puerto Rico (SOCRAD) Breast Imaging webinar (2021) and in person presentation (2019), San Juan, PR, Best of Breast, West Palm Beach, FL (2022) and Palm Beach Gardens, FL (2019); and North Shore Medical Center, Miami, FL (2019).
