Navigating life as a new radiology graduate in private practice comes with numerous challenges. For breast imagers, these challenges are often amplified by shortages in breast imaging staffing and mounting clinical volumes. Therefore, it is easy to forgo pursuit of professional goals outside of clinic practice due to competing demands. This webinar will offer tangible solutions to maintaining a meaningful connection to the breast community and finding fulfillment in your career outside of clinical practice in areas of community service, research, and education. Meet Dr. Battle
Dr. Bennett Battle is a breast imaging radiologist at The Breast Center in Northwest Arkansas. He attended medical school at the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences, where he also completed his internship and diagnostic radiology residency. He attended Weill Cornell Medicine for fellowship.
Meet Dr. Miles
Dr. Randy Miles serves as the Chief of Breast Imaging at Denver Health with oversight over the breast division’s clinical, research, and educational programs. Dr. Miles earned his medical degree from Mayo Clinic College of Medicine, where he was awarded the Miller Award for Humanitarianism related to his work leading medical mission trips to Haiti and the Dominican Republic. He also completed his master’s in public health degree from Harvard School of Public Health during medical school, where he was selected as a Zuckerman Fellow. He completed his diagnostic radiology residency training at the University of Illinois- Chicago, where he served as chief resident, and completed his breast imaging fellowship at the University of Washington Medical Center / Seattle Cancer Care Alliance. Dr. Miles has been the recipient of numerous research grants and has published over 50 academic papers in breast imaging and led numerous educational efforts involving trainees at all levels both nationally and internationally.
