SBI Breast Imaging Symposium a Huge Success!
Thank you to everyone who attended the SBI 2024 Breast Imaging Symposium in affiliation with the Canadian Society of Breast Imaging! We are thrilled to announce that it was our most highly attended Symposium ever: We had a total of 1,618 attendees and exhibitors representing 36 countries. A special thank you to those who participated in our Talent Show and other scheduled sessions. Your presence and engagement made this gathering monumental, and we are grateful for your contributions to its success.
President's Dinner
Over 300 of you joined us for the sold out 2024 President's Dinner to collectively celebrate esteemed out-going President, Dr. Mimi Newell, and distinguished SBI honorees, Dr. Elizabeth Morris, Gold Medalist and Tiffany Gowen, Honorary Fellow all while supporting the two pillars upon which this society was established, Research and Education.
We want to express our sincere gratitude for your support of SBI and the Research and Education Fund.
Your generous contribution is more than just a charitable donation, it is a commitment to the furthering of the incredible life-saving work of those we celebrated last evening, while making it possible for those rising in the profession to advance their innovative research.
The success of the evening would not have been possible without the philanthropic support of our industry partners and institutions:

Gold Medal and Honorary Fellow Awards Ceremony
Congratulations to Gold Medal Award winner Elizabeth Morris, MD, FSBI, an advocate for change and access. A breast cancer survivor, Morris says she's grateful for the mentorship she's received from SBI and the board and encourages young members to lean into the "largesse of spirit" the society has to offer.
Congratulations to Honorary Fellow Award winner Tiffany Gowen, MHA, an advocate for patient-centered care. In wanting to work with patients and making a scary or uncertain situation better for them, Gowen says she evolves as breast imaging evolves.
